Skibidi Toilet: The YouTube Series Behind This Shooter
Published · Updated · 2 min read
Where Skibidi Toilet comes from
Skibidi Toilet started as a YouTube series. Its creator is the animator Alexey Gerasimov, who posts on the channel now called skibidi (it used to be called DaFuq!?Boom!). The first episode went up on 7 February 2023. The videos are made in Source Filmmaker, Valve's free 3D animation tool, which is why the characters look like they belong in a video game.
The series is a war between singing heads that pop out of toilets and a group of humans with machines for heads. The three best known groups are:
- Cameramen: people with CCTV cameras for heads.
- Speakermen: people with speakers for heads.
- TV Men: people with televisions for heads.
These facts come from the Wikipedia article on Skibidi Toilet, which also notes that the series has led to Fortnite cosmetics and to many fan-made Roblox games.
The game on this site is a fan game, not part of the series
The game you play here is Skibidi Shooter. It is not made by the creator of the YouTube series. Poki lists it as a game by Kool Games and says it was their first game on Poki. The build's own page header names Syder Studio as author and says the game is "exclusively licensed to Kool Games". It was made with Construct, the HTML5 game engine.
What the game takes from the videos
The game keeps the basic setup of the series and very little of the story:
- You are a Cameraman. The player character in the game files is called camera_man, and the loss screen shows a fallen Cameraman.
- The enemies are Skibidi Toilets made of two parts, a toilet base and a head, in small and big versions.
- Most levels are set in city streets with buildings, buses, cars and parked containers, much like the city backdrops of the videos.
There are no Speakermen or TV Men in the game files, no story scenes, and no named characters from the show. You do not need to have seen a single episode to play it.
The music credits
The credits screen lists two audio sources, both YouTube uploads labelled "Skibidi Toilet backsound no copyright" and "Skibidi Toilet sound effect, no copyright". So the song you hear is a free-to-use version of the meme tune, not a track taken from the official channel.
Is this site official?
No. skibidi-toilet.org is an independent fan site. It is not run by the series creator or by Kool Games. The Skibidi Toilet name and characters belong to their creator, and the game belongs to its developer.
